Sausage Quiche

Yesterday I decided to make this lovely Sausage Quiche for breakfast… It was so easy, and so simple. And I can guarantee you your family will love this.  The recipe says to use a 19-inch unbaked deep dish pie shell.  But I will post a very easy alternative, if you want to make your own shell like I did.

Ingredients

1/2 cup cheese
1/2 pound Sausage
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 x Tomato cubed
2 eggs
1/4 cup Mayo
1/4 cup sour cream
1/3 cup milk
1 9-inch unbaked deep dish pie shell

Preheat oven to 350. In a large skillet, cook sausage until well browned, stirring frequently. Drain off grease and set aside. Whisk together eggs, Ranch dressing, sour cream and milk. Add sausage, cheese and Tomato. Stir to combine. Pour egg mixture into prepared pie crust. Bake 1 hour. Allow quiche to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

The end result was absolutely delicious.  And my family was smiling from ear to ear. I would definitely give this a double thumbs up.

Just a SPRINKLE of GLITTER!!

 So I have a teeny tiny confession to makeI AM ADDICTED TO GLITTER…

About two months ago, I started planning my sisters baby shower.  And obviously decided to bake the cupcakes myself.  So I bought PINK EDIBLE GLITTER and made the most gorgeous Pink Glittered Cupcakes I have ever created. The day was beautiful. Everything was pink and glittery. Because that’s how you plan a baby shower..especially when your welcoming a little princess into your life.

But after that day passed I just could not let go of the pink glitter… I soon realized that EVERYTHING I baked ended up with a splash of PINK GLITTER. I give you EXHIBIT A.  The beautiful rainbow swirl cake recipe I found on Pinterest, which by the way was supposed to look like this…

But instead ended up looking like this….

It’s official…the glitter was everywhere. I was sprinkling it on everything I baked.  I joked around with my husband telling him that he was going to be pooping glitter for months.  But even with all the glittery deliciousness, every time I bake…my husband and my son and the rest of my family just cant resist my baking.

My God-Daughter (the little lady that “jump started” my Glitter Addiction) was born 12 April 2016.  Welcome to the world Little Amy-Lee.

Where theres a whisk, theres a way…

“If you’re  not ready to fail, you’re  not going to learn how to cook.”  I only learned the true meaning of that quote after I got married.  According to my mother the only thing I could cook was Spaghetti. She also did not  hesitate to tell my husband  just that before we got married.   Luckily for me, my husband loves Pasta …a lot.

But lets face it, we couldn’t eat Pasta every day.  I started collecting cookbooks.  But the recipes were limited, and very complicated. What exactly did I know about basting and braising?  Then one day a friend introduced me to Pinterest and I was HOOKED.  One of the very first boards I made was a cooking board.

And now here I am…almost 3 years later.  And thanks to my very loving, and very patient Pinterest-recipe-testing  husband, I now know how to make a few more things apart from Pasta.  But I am far from the “baking queen” my husband makes me out to be.

So join me on my journey.  My fails, and my wins.  Because let’s be honest it’s not always as easy as it looks….
